Acceding to the report, the IDF killed Hezbollah commander Suhail Hussein Husseini in a Beirut airstrike on October 7. Husseini led Hezbollah’s logistics unit, handling weapons transfers between Iran and Hezbollah.
The report said that he was also part of Hezbollah's Jihad Council. The airstrike, directed by the IDF’s Intelligence Division, targeted Husseini’s headquarters, including Hezbollah’s R&D unit.
The report added that Husseini’s death follows recent Israeli strikes killing Hamas leaders and Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah. These operations come amid escalating violence since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, which killed 1,200 and sparked Gaza conflict, now causing 41,000 deaths.
