Hisbah police arrests 10 for not fasting in Kano

he Kano State Hisbah Board has apprehended at least ten individuals for allegedly breaking Ramadan fast, selling food during fasting hours, and loitering in parts of Kano metropolis.​

The arrests followed an early morning operation on Wednesday, marking the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement from the Board’s Director of Public Enlightenment, Auwalu Ado Sheshe, the raid was led by the Officer-in-Charge of Operations, Malam Hafizu Garba Adakawa.

Am surprised they can actually arrest people for not carrying out the fast. I know tons of people who don't fast over here.

This Hisbah police are always having misplaced priorities. That's what religion can cost a society though.

In the northern part of Nigeria, if you don't carry out your fasting for the Muslim you can get arrested and I think this is not fair, it's not by force to fast anyway.
