The report said that since 2023, public processions have been banned, and now this measure also applies to the Good Friday Stations of the Cross. The report stated that in Nicaragua, Easter processions and the use of fireworks have been banned. The government's crackdown on Holy Week celebrations leaves no room for public Christian events during Easter. President Daniel Ortega has prohibited the carrying of sacred images through the streets, and large security forces are deployed outside cathedrals.

Those who violate the government order will be arrested. The Catholics in Nicaragua only do their procession within the church walls. The same measure will apply to the Good Friday Stations of the Cross. This law is considered a heavy blow to the country's religious life. What is wrong? It isn't a crime. This worries the Holy See.

Those who want to celebrate would have to do it behind close doors not to draw the attention of anyone.
That's true, they are afraid to be arrested. I'm wondering why their government banned the Holy Week celebration. It's not a crime. The government supposed to be happy to see the people in unity. That's cruel.

Well am sure their government have a reason for this, it might be for the benefit of the government themselves though, but at the end of the day they have a reason.

That country might be controlled by communism. I'm going to research about the history. Anyway, the religious people found a way to celebrate the holy week within the four walls of the church. God the Father still blessed the people because of their profound and unwavering faith to Him.
