Part of our dream is owning a home. However, deciding whether to buy or rent is a big choice that impacts your goals, lifestyle, and financial stability. Whichever choice you make, it will all depend on your financial and lifestyle circumstances. In order to make the payments and cover related expenses, both require a consistent source of income. They may also call for a certain amount of maintenance work.

However, there are a number of distinctions between owning and renting a home. Renting a house gives you more freedom because you're not as attached to it as you would be if you were a homeowner, and it also spares you from many of the duties that come with it. Owning a home, on the other hand, allows you to make a significant investment, but it comes at a high cost—both upfront and over time.

So, what about you? What is your opinion regarding this?

I believe both renting and buying a house have their own set of pros and cons. Personally, I am inclined towards renting since I am unable to afford my own house at the moment. When you rent a house, you are not required to pay a large sum of money upfront, and it offers you the flexibility to switch from one house to another. It becomes especially useful when you feel like exploring different rural or urban areas.

However, if I had the financial means, I would prefer to buy my own house. Owning a house allows you to personalize it according to your lifestyle, and it also proves to be a profitable investment in the long run.

Of course I choose to have my own house, buying a house doesn't have to be with large funds at once, we can use a mortgage which we have to pay every month within 10 years, the mortgage debt will be paid off and the house will be completely ours.

Owning a house saves you from the inconvenience of having to cough out some sums of money to be using for rents. That monthly expenses might affect some people financially.
it isn't about might but it does affect a lot of people. Like if you can sort out your accommodation problem in Nigeria now half of your problem is over.

If you rent a house then you may be fired from the house if the home renter has an offer to pay greater than yours means someone who can pay more rent price and give you 24 hours to leave the house seems not near to the logic.
