When a business like a hotel is connected with news of criminal activities, the reputation is damaged and the business can just go down instantly.

How can a hotel owner and management ensure that their hotel is not used for criminal activities like rape, murder by criminal elements.

The truth of the matter is this is not easy cause you do not know what is being done in the rooms after giving it out to your customers. Putting cctv on the other hand would be wrong and this is invasion of privacy. Having a reasonable and responsible manager would help through, periodic checkups on your clients can also be used to ensure everything is okay.

You have raised some very huge points. So are you telling me it is wrong to put a CCTV camera in hotel rooms? I really have to go ponder on how to navigate this challenge of running a hotel.

But what about the privacy issues? Some people pay for hotels just to have intimacy. And that would be privacy invasion. It is a very dicey discourse.

Preventing crimes in hotels isn't easy as you cant leave cameras in rooms. but have in place responsible managers and security personnels for periodic checkups

It is quite very difficult to manage a hotel and keep it safe. I don't think that I can go into hotel business as it stands because one criminal can just come in and ruin your years of hardwork.
