According to the report, the Houthis have declared readiness for a prolonged war with Israel, following drone and missile strikes targeting Tel Aviv in retaliation for the Gaza blockade.

The report said that Houthi spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed the successful targeting of Israeli military sites and vowed continued operations until the blockade ends. In response, Israel launched airstrikes on Yemeni infrastructure, including oil facilities and ports, using advanced weapons like Popeye and Rampage missiles.

Reports indicate these strikes caused significant damage and casualties but were carried out without Security Cabinet approval. Israeli officials have pledged severe retaliation, labelling the Houthis as an Iranian proxy, while the Houthis accuse Israel of hypocrisy and aggression. The escalating conflict has worsened Yemen’s humanitarian crisis and drawn international calls for de-escalation, though a ceasefire remains unlikely.
