How can I add a place to the Google maps?

A friend of mine was trying to locate my business place using the Google Maps but couldn't. He had to call me and I directed him. That thing can make me to lose sales and I want to know the process of adding a place to the Google Maps, so that it can be showing in GPS searches.

I am too not conversant with that feature. I have never been interested in engaging with that thing for sure. I am yet to study about that.

Go to your google map, once you enter, you should see an option or a place you can click on called contribute. You might find this at the bottom of the map. Once you click on it you should see different options such as add place or update place and so on. Just click on it and follow the steps.
