How can I negotiate for a higher pay and get it?

For people that are employees, there is always a need to negotiate higher pay as time goes on. It is one difficult thing for some people to have that conversation for higher pay and eventually get it. Are there any strategies that one can employ to negotiate for a higher pay and get it?

I think the best way to bargain for a salary increase and get it is to use your productivity as a bargaining chip to prove reasons why your salary should be increased.
