How can one make money from a sound talent in Spoken Words Poetry?

A friend of mine asked me this question and I was startled, so I decided to bring it here. This guy is very good with spoken words poetry. He can hold any audience spell bound with his rhymes and lines when performing his spoken words. He has been doing it from church to church as a service. And churches don't get to pay him as they believe it is part of serving God.

Now, he wants to make money from this his spoken words talent. How does he go about it?

That person should leave all that church paroles because they would never get to pay him. He should better start a podcast and build a profile, then get to monetize it.

You can also look for platforms that support this , where you can post and earn from your content and as well start a freelancing gig.

I know of a lady on YouTube that has mad engagement on YouTube as a spoken word artist. And she has a monetized account.
