I am wondering if the blockchain always issues normal receipts. I don't think they do. How then can someone that used crypto to make payment send receipt of the payment to the recipient.

Crypto payment and receipts, how does it work?

The truth is that in the world of cryptocurrencies, receipts aren't issued in the traditional sense. When someone makes a cryptocurrency payment, what actually happens is that the transaction is recorded on the blockchain, which functions as a public and transparent ledger. However, this transaction on the blockchain isn't a formal receipt, but rather proof that the funds transfer occurred. For the recipient to have proof, people typically print or share a screenshot of the transaction hash, or they might even use third-party platforms that generate automatic receipts based on the transaction. The key lies in transparency and proof on the blockchain, not in issuing a formal document like a bank receipt. That's why people often use specialized software to create a "receipt" that proves the payment was made, but this isn't something inherent to the blockchain itself.

That's right, the blockchain always issues a receipt and proof of transaction known as a "hash," which can identify the TXID. You can also check it on a blockchain explorer by copying and pasting the recipient's crypto address. The crypto payment receipt (hash) acts as a fingerprint on the blockchain and connects blocks.
