How do determine the amount of emergency funding?

I plan to keep 3-5 percent of my monthly budget aside for emergency funding. Emergency situations don't come every now and then, but when they come, there can be a huge financial constraint. Saving something consistently is the best way, it becomes a disciplined habit. It doesn't dent your monthly budget or your finance when the emergency comes. It's also convenient and safe to do so.
 
Strategies to determine emergency funds depending on the amount of your expenses and also your status, single, family or family of one child. If you are single, collect a minimum of 4 to 6 months the amount of expenditure. Meanwhile, if you have a family but do not have children to gather at least 7 months to 9 months multiplied by the average monthly expenditure and so on.

Building your emergency fund by setting aside a portion of your income each month will be ideal Do this until you reach your savings goal.
