When it comes to boosting sales, the only way to do this is to invest more in advertising and promoting what you do.
It all depends on your locality and environment. In my locality, building materials have their market. Once, you can be able to have a shop there, you can easily make sales without much stress.
I don't think you need to do much to boost sales of building materials. Get a good location and it would sell itself.
