How do you cope with family members and friends that are always billing you?

There are family members and friends that we have whose your entire encounter with them is always asking for one financial help or the other. Anytime they call you, it is one need or the other.

How do you cope with such relatives and friends? Avoid them?

The billings from family members that you think are unnecessary, just avoid them and pretend like you have not heard about it.

I let my family members know that I am also managing my life. No one should put me under pressure with billings that are unnecessary.

I will honestly tell them that I am also not too well off. I cannot afford to finance them regularly.

To be honest it's not easy having to deal with this, you have to sacrifice and let go of certain things you want just to help them.

When the billing is too much, I won't even pick the person's call any longer. You can't be billing me every other time

This is why we need to run away from entitled people. I don't get how you don't work but sit to hill people that's madness

I always encountered this a relative and friends doing it to me, It's not once but twice or thrice. I sought advice from a lawyer. The lawyer told me to give them a pre appointed evidence to meal they have to sign the receipt that they owed me money to serve it as proof in case they refuse to pay me. That stops them to bother me.
