as an entrepreneur, there times a customer would contact you asking the price for a particular service or product, which means to get the accurate price, you have to contact your supplier, in most cases these customers don't come back to purchase from you. How do you handle cases where the supplier contacts you asking if you are still interested or a situation where the supplier stops taking you seriously.

There is no need to worry yourself unnecessary. Do your best and live the rest to God. Moreover, a business owner suppose to always be of help to his customers even if the customers later failed to turn up.

It is not uncommon for customers to check the price. That does not mean s(he) will buy the product. In this case, I'll just let the supplier know the customer is not interested.
I think that's the best thing to do, so the supplier won't assume you bailed out on them or you have ghosted them.
