There are always new ways of doing things and running a business. But the problem is how to carry the workforce who have been used to all patterns along.
How can one implement new methods and patterns as a manager amongst a workforce that doesn't like to evolve?
When a workforce is resistant to change, it is because there is something that they are afraid of. You would have to reassure them that the change won't temper with their jobs.
I think you have to reassure them that the new methods only meant to enhance their productivity, not to replace them. If they have concerns whether they are able to cope with the changes, run some workshops to help them to learn the new skills.
