It's quite disappointing for the members of the family to look down upon your business over other competitors. That is why most people wouldn't prefer to conduct businesses in their own Hometowns.

I prefer building a business while still having a permanent job to secure income position,businesses do fail due to lack of funds and consistency take your time in building a business though is best in keeping your job for now.
