When l was running my shop a couple of years back, l was really very disappointed by majority of the people that would come to only ask for the prices but they never buy. I thought they were just comparing the prices out.
I also often encounter such incidents but as a seller we must be wise and professional, the more experienced you are, the happier you will be if your shop is only visited by people who only ask for prices just to compare prices with other shops. If you continue to serve them in a friendly manner, they will not hesitate to buy your product.
They have the right to check prices. So, be patient and answer their questions in a friendly manner. If your price is competitive and they find you friendly, they may buy from you.
Oh, my God, I am so guilty of this thing. hehe .. I often visit different shops to ask about their prices about things I am planning to buy, thinking it’s just a normal way to find the best deal. I didn’t realize that this might hurt their feelings. I really appreciate the hard work that goes into their businesses, and I’ll be more mindful of how my actions might affect them in the future.
That is a normal thing. They might have no money at that time and will come back as soon as they already have money to buy. That is the image of business. Those who ask like to make sure if their money is sufficient or not.
I bet that business is very tough nowadays. I think one should not get tired of answering the questions about the prices for the customers whether they buy or not.
The best solution for that problem on people who keep on asking the price of the products without the intention to buy is to label the price of every product, tag them one by one . That solves the a problem.
It's very annoying but the thing is you don't know the day they would finally decide on buying. What I normally do is to keep giving them price, but at the same time I don't get my hopes up.
It could be annoying people asking prices without the intention to buy, but as a business owner you have to understand them. They might lack money but they surely come back. Once we ask a price it means there is a promise to buy not instantly but they will really come back to buy.
