A lot of people are caught in the middle of repairing an old item that they have. Repairs cost money though. There is always the other option of replacing the item.

At which point should one know that keeping on with repairs of an item is sheer waste of money?

Have it in the back of your mind that once you make repairs, it will definitely develop fault over time again. If you have the money to replace, it's best to do so as soon as possible.

When to stop repairing something and decide to replace it depends on the condition of the device itself. If you are constantly having to pay for repairs and it still does not work properly, then that is a sign that you are spending money for no good reason. These costs can add up and increase your losses.

Also consider whether the device is technologically outdated. Older devices may use more power or lack modern features that make it easier to use. If spare parts are not easily available or repairs are frequent, then it is better to look at the option of replacing it.

Replacing a device can save you time, money and stress. You get a new device that is more efficient and lasts longer. Don't hold on to something just because you are used to it. Sometimes replacing is a wise and beneficial move in the long run.

When you repeatedly spend money to repair a thing and it still get bad almost immediately. It might just be time to get a new one.
There are things you fix many times but they still break. You find yourself spending money all the time without any success. That's when you know maybe it's time to let go.

If something doesn't work even after repairs, it's a sign that it's worn out. Even if the car refuses to start every week, it's just stress. It's better to start planning to change it than to keep wasting money.

Buying new hurts but it's a peaceful investment. You breathe without the pressure of fixing it every day. Sometimes letting go is a wise move than holding on in vain.
