How frequently does driving a car result in a fine?

Currently without a car of my own, I drove while I was just learning to drive and made a lot of mistakes out of nervousness. I ended up getting five penalties in a week, and after that I even lost interest in driving.

You where learning, so it's normal to make mistakes. That should not make you give up completely.
