Yes, it takes some time for a new online business to pick up the online market. First, you have to create awareness of your business in the market. Then, during the startup period, marketing is very important. Offering good deals to attract customers. And you have to sell authentic products and offer great customer service.

It took very long time, I was able to generate my first sale in 3 months. I have been running businesses since a couple of years and I still struggle

I am working towards having an online business this year, I don't know how long it will take before it will start selling but am hoping it does not take that long.
It doesn't take any time for that to happened one just need to be consistence in posting your business online and you moved again.
