How long did it take you to start the business from the time you came with the business idea?

For instance, most people with the best business ideas end up dying with their ideas not being brought into practical business for that matter. So what time is it recommendable for one to take before starting the businesses after one comes up with the business idea?

It took me one year to decide if it's worthy to apply for a milk tea franchising business. I got the business idea when I was a new member of RIF. I was thankful to RIF and a member who referred to me the site. RIF was first named Referrential Index Forum.
