How long should it take a responsible business to respond to chat enquiries?

Some business offer chat channels on Instant Messengers like WhatsApp and Telegram for customers and intending customers to reach out to the business.

How long should it take for the business to reply to such chat enquiries to show it is responsible?
 
I think the most important thing should be that they respond to it as quickly as possible, cause there are times where one or two issues might stop them from responding on time.
 
If I am not responded to within an hour, I leave to patronize another service. Businesses should not joke with time in this era.
