Customer experience is the crux of business now. I went to a restaurant, sat down at a spot and waited for 10 minutes, no server approached my table to take order from me. Disappointment is an understatement to what I felt.

How long ideally should it take a server to approach a table that a customer just sits in a restaurant?

I think two minutes would be too long. Some of us are not patient to keep waiting for such a lengthy duration.
It still depends. You have to check the scale of the restaurant to temper justice with mercy.
