How many ad unit is too many?

I have used maximum 5 ad units on my website, anything more than 5 ads per page would be too many ads for me. I do not like the sites where there are more than 5 ads and I never used more than 5 ads. Interestingly, for some people even 5 ad units per page would be too many, they recommend not more than 3 ads per page. What about you?

Of course yes. I too see the incorporation of more than three ads to be so much according to me. Sites should be having at least three ads so that it may have a great user experience.

I use a maximum of two so as not to pollute the page too much and so that people always come back to search for a specific topic.

I use two to three ad units on my website. Anything more than that is too much for me.

If you provide a large enough incentive for your visitors to take advantage of and present them in an interesting format, they will not care how many units you have.

This is true in some ways, if you provide value to your visitors and if your ads are not intrusive or blocks main content, I think you can use multiple ad units and still attract visitors
