Most countries require that companies operating in their countries be registered. And there are perks you enjoy when you register your business or company with the government.

In some countries, the process of registering businesses and companies can be very cumbersome. How many days does it take for one to complete a company registration in your country?
 
In my country, the duration it takes depends on the kind of business that you want to register. If it is a sole proprietorship business, it might take up to 30 days to complete the registration. Companies take up to 3 months to complete registration.
 
Depending on the type of business we are going to run, if it involves dangers to consumers such as cosmetics or environmental pollution, it will take a long time, because there is a need for an environmental impact analysis, whereas for barbershops and food stalls it takes around 4 to 7 days.

In the U.S. registering a business is mostly reserved to states and municipalities; generally, you need a business license and those are issued at the municipal/county level. If you sell alcohol you have to have a liquor license, etc., etc.

In the same Nigeria that me and you are in? If you are able to complete your business registration within a two weeks, you deserve kudos. When you want to talk of company registration, no hope of finishing in one month.

You can't talk about the whole of Nigeria as if you are talking about a region. in Calabar you can get it done in 2 weeks. I'm writing from experience all you need is the required documents. With the right connection you can even do it in days.

Yes it could also depend on the business you intend to register. Just try to get the documents that would be needed and you are sure of fast registration
 
If you want to register a sole ownership enterprise or partnership enterprise on a small scale, your business can be registered within 3 business days. It takes time for big companies.
