The prices of foodstuffs has really been on a free upward trajectory in some countries. Rice, being a staple food of most people in many countries of the world has joined in the rising galore.

My brother wants to start buying rice to resell in 50kg bags? Do you have an idea of the consumer price of rice in dollars for a 50kg bag?

Not sure about this, I think what would help make things easier for your brother is if he meets does who are already into the rice business or have experience in this field.

We usually get rice in 5 kilogram packages and it cost about $7 so if you are going for 50 kilograms then it would cost about $60 in that range. We usually grow the rice that we eat as in the nation of my country and we have the capacity to even export some of it from our country. The Rice from my country is the most preferred among the locals,So i hope that it would be the same with your country or any rice as long as it is Rice?

My country is not able to produce rice and that has made the price of rice to go sky high. I think floating the naira is a factor that has caused rice to be very expensive because it is mainly an imported product.

The price of bags of rice here depends on their quality. If it's red rice first class, one bag costs $ 78 and the second class red rice is $ 58. For the white rice the one I buy at home, sticky rice. The price per per bag of 50 kilos is $ 60.

In our country, purchasing 50 kilograms of rice would cost approximately $80. This can be costly, particularly if you opt for branded rice like Farmboy or Harvester.
The bag f rice there in Manila is more expensive than in Cagayan de Oro City. That $80 50 kilos bag of rice is good for the first-class brown rice and organic rice.

In my country the rice is being packed in smaller denominations. Like the largest denomination is 25kg that is retailing at $40 and this is the medium quality rice.
That's very expensive in your country and it is higher than how it is selling in my country. In my country, you can get 50kg bag with about $50.
