How much is the maintaining balance of your bank savings? I have three bank accounts and each of them has each maintaining balance. For my savings for the online gigs like posting on forums writing horror stories, and poetry writing, an. account holder must maintain $ 200 monthly.

For my salary at the university where I work, the maintaining balance is peanuts only $ 5. The maintaining amount is small however, it's the binding agreement between the national government being the owner of university where I work and the Development Bank of the Philippines ( DBP) government owned bank to have less to maintain balance considering the 2000 employees teaching and none teaching depositors.

My third Bank account is for my business which has a higher maintaining balance equivalent to
$ 7,000 in Philippines peso, it is equivalent to 387, 000.

Although I have several bank accounts from several different banks, but not as a savings platform but only as a transaction medium, either salary receipts, online work or stock exchange deposits. Because currently in my country saving does not get interest and is even vulnerable to being hacked. But the average balance of my bank account is around $ 100.

Every country has its own laws. In my country, there is a small interest, but we have to keep saving some for future needs. The maintaining balance varies.

In my opinion, rather than letting money pile up in the bank and not producing anything, it is better to allocate it as additional business capital, or invest it in stocks or crypto.

My capital was from the money I saved in the bank and without it, I won't have a business now. There is no investment that costs some pesos, so I need to accumulate it in the bank for safety and future use.

I try to save money minthiy as much as I can. But things come up almost all the time to deplete my savings. Hopefully should main like $4000 at the end of the year
I completely understand what you are saying, I have been able to save something, I had to withdraw it this morning to sort out some expenses.

That depends on the type of accounts. If it is just an ordinary savings account, there is no minimum maintenance requirement. You can just have $1 in the account. But if your account is the Preferred or Prestige account, you need to maintain a minimum amount of money there.

It depends on the bank account which is being used, some banks have a minimum balance requirement of approximately$6 while others require a much high quarterly balance of more than $600, especially if the account is a current account.

It depends on the bank. The bank I am currently using has a maintaining balance of Php 5000, so I make sure the balance does not go below that.
The BPI Bank requires a maintaining balance of $200 but for DBP it requires only five dollars. Union Bank requires 30, 000 pesos maintaining Balance China Bank only three thousand pesos.
