How much should be budgeted for "Back to School" expenses?

In my country, the long summer holidays for schools is over. And there is a frenzy amongst parents to get their kids to return to school for a new session.

So many parents had been saving up for the expenses associated with returning the kids back to school. They would buy new uniforms, new school shoes, new school bags etc.

How much should be budgeted and planned for Back to School Expenses.

For a single child, I think that Back to school expenses should not be less than $80 at the very minimum.

Back to school expenses do depend on the school and the age of the child as their needs always differs but for me $50 should be enough
