Business people are to try and chase a potential customer to try and convince them to become patrons. But chasing a potential customer takes time, energy, focus and resources.

In light of that, how long is too long for you to spend chasing one potential customer with no tangible results?

If I make three attempts to make progress with convincing a potential customer and they still give me a cold shoulder, I put them in the freezer and go talk to other potential customers that might purchase. That's being practical.

I don't believe that one customer is worthy to be chased for more than a month of consistent pitching. You might not have the strength to get other customers with that.
Agree. I pitch for a month and then give up. My energy is wasted if get stuck with one client. I'm looking for new ones to keep the business going.
