We all know that that the business of selling business materials is very lucrative. And tiles have been proven to be very essential in buildings these days.

I am considering starting to sell tiles as a business. How much in dollars do you think would be able to start the business generally?

Selling building materials is lucrative but demand huge amount of money to start the business. If you want to start selling tiles, the first thing you must do is to go apprenticeship. You can do your apprenticeship one or two months depending on your level of comprehension.

I don't know the exact price of tiles in your country, but as an illustration you need trading capital to buy tiles from suppliers, apart from that you need a shop either rented or owned, a delivery car, shop equipment including shelves where the tiles are displayed,

Not sure though, but there are different factors to consider, the size of the business is one of them. If you plan on starting it large scale, then you might need to spend more. It would be best to take out time to find out how much it would cost to buy tiles as a wholesaler presently, cause I am very sure the price has changed.

From what you are saying here, that means one would need up to $5000 to hit the ground running with a tiles business. When you factor in the fact that the business would have staff, it becomes more glaring that is is very capital intensive.

It's possible that you need $5,000 in capital to run a tiles business, but you can save by buying a used transport vehicle but the engine is still in good condition, and try not to rent a stall or shop, like borrowing family land.

Selling tiles would require that you have at least $5000 to start up. It is a high capital demand business.
