I think is profitable but you need initial capital to start. Secondly, you need to familiarize with other PTP owners and some serious posters. Moreover, you need to be a poster before starting because you need the experience to excel in the niche. Every business is profitable, all depends on approach and skills
Getting advertisers is the major challenge for the PTP websites. The revenue from advertising networks is not very reliable, there is a lot of fraud for online advertising, powerful companies can reduce the page views, advertising income quickly.

That's correct, Magnus. You must have experience as a poster to understand how things function. Alternatively, you can apply to be a moderator on a PTP forum website before starting. Of course, you will need ads for your site.
I think it is a good side business, but you need good money for starting till you develop your site and till you get advertisements, after that i think it will be good source of income.
It's very good business definitely I will say that before you get started you need to have a budget because so many things need to be put in place for instance you will actually need to promote your website and Lets advertiser know because through this means you will only get money
I really don't have any information about the running of the paid to post forums. That's because l have never owned nor ran a a forum site.

I do not know much about paid to post sites though, besides the profit aspect, I think another important aspect you need to consider is the running of the forum.
I haven't tried it myself, but I think it's profitable if new forums start to be created. Of course, you need to invest a lot, but then you can earn more. I think if I have extra funds I will also try to create my own forum
