For those who have run a food stall or are currently operating one, please share your tips on things like menu planning, local laws/permits, marketing, costs to consider, common challenges etc. Want to learn from your real-world experience on how to set one up and run it successfully long-term. Advice welcome!

One common challenge most people face in this line of business, especially at the early stage is the quantity. I have seen cases where most sellers are not able to finish the food they prepared, so they had to force themselves to eat it or even dash out to others.

One thing I notice about successful food stall businesses is that they carefully choose the best location for where they will set up their stall and focus on their target market. Like here in our place, there's this food stall that sells milk tea just in front of their house, but it did not click, so they decided to transfer near the school. Now their business is booming, so it's really important to choose your location wisely.

True this. Location is very important to succeed with a food stall business. You must choose a location that is densely populated. Don't ever do a good stall business in a location that is 100% residential. It won't work because people cook at home.

I completely agree with you. The location of a business is a crucial factor in its success. It's wise to choose a location that receives a lot of foot traffic to attract more customers.

I can't say the exact menu because there are different types of food, but you can choose a menu that is a little rare and unique such as Pounded Yam which contains beef or chicken, spicy Egusi Soup etc. Keep the shop environment always clean and neat, friendly to all customers.

Food stall business won't work near residential area, usually there people cook at their home. Rather if you start it near offices then majority of people will come to you. Here I see in my city, so many good stalls nearby offices.
Yes, having a food stall near offices is a good idea as you would be able to make high sales to the office workers
