Human skull found outside of home

According to the report, authorities are investigating a person's death after skeletal remains were found. A shocking discovery in North Houston over the weekend has left residents unsettled. Connie Guerrero, a resident, is still coming to terms with what she found outside her home.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers discovered the skull among items set out for trash. They noted that the skull appeared to have been buried for some time, as it was covered in dirt. Witnesses reported seeing a homeless woman carrying the skull before leaving it at the location. Police later located the woman, who led them to a site with additional remains.

An anthropologist from the Harris County Medical Examiner's office has collected what is believed to be human remains. Authorities are now working to identify the individual to whom the remains belong.
