I pay someone to clean my compound for me. My partner says I waste money by doing that. What do you think?

I know that I am young and agile and I should be cleaning my compound by myself. But I don't see myself doing that. I rather pay the small boys around to help me with the cleaning. My partner has criticised that and says that I am wasting money on that lifestyle.

Is it a waste of money from your point of view to pay someone to clean my surroundings for me?

Honestly, I don't see it as a waste of money; it depends a lot on the context and your priorities. If you have the time, the energy, and you enjoy doing it, cleaning your own space can be a good way to save money and stay active. But if you'd rather spend that time on something more productive, relaxing, or that generates income, there's nothing wrong with paying someone to do it. You're actually delegating a task to optimize your time, and that's also a smart way to manage your resources.
Plus, you're helping the neighborhood kids earn some money, which has a positive social value. Your partner may see it as an unnecessary expense, but if it represents convenience and efficiency for you, there's nothing wrong with it. The balance lies in not spending more than reasonable, but also not feeling guilty about simplifying your life. Everyone values their time differently.
