According to the report, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he could not confirm Israeli claims of a Hezbollah bunker filled with cash built under a hospital in Beirut. The US will continue to “collaborate with our Israeli counterparts to gain better fidelity on exactly what they are looking at,” Austin said.
The report said that the Pentagon chief also warned Israel that a failure to address the humanitarian situation in Gaza could create more insurgents.
