I believe when it comes to anything, including giving there is always a limit. Some can be people pleasers and that a lot of the time results in them ending up giving more than they can.

Yes, givers must not give excessively. The takers can abuse your kindness. Been there, done that. It is okay to give but you should leave something for yourself. If you don't, you will feel exhausted and it is not good for your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Over here there is this popular saying that givers never lack. While it is good to give, at the same time do not give to the point where you would end up suffering.
They say that giving open doors but we should not engage in giving that is detrimental to our own wellbeing. I think every human ought to beca little selfish for self preservation. I only give what will not be a burden to my life.
