According to the report, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Russia on Wednesday. The meeting comes after India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that Beijing and New Delhi have reached an agreement on patrolling along the Line of Actual Control.
The report said that tensions have been high between the two neighbors, who share a largely undefined Himalayan border, ever since the deadly 2020 military clash, which claimed the lives of 20 Indian soldiers and four Chinese soldiers.
I admit I don't know anything about Mr. Modi, but I've always admired his friendliness amidst uncertain situations, and this is what Mr. Xi needs to have more.
