Meutya Hafid, Indonesia's Communication Minister, said the country is considering implementing a minimum age for social media use to protect children. This idea follows Australia's decision to prohibit those under the age of 16 from using social media.

While the minimum age in Indonesia has yet to be announced publicly, Indonesia's communication minister's statements follow discussions with President Prabowo Subianto about the idea. "We discussed how to protect children in the digital space," Meutya said in a video posted on the president's office YouTube page.

In the Philippines it seems it's the parents that banned their kids to create membership in any media sites.
Mate, that's the way to go. The parents need to know this and gets the kids to read their books and do homework

Yes you are so right. The parents must warn their kids not to get involved with media sites. Their young minds might be exploited with what they see. It's harming to the kids.

I think that is the way to go. Most younger people in my country like they abuse the social media sites by creating irrelevant content
The government knows this that's why they try to put the restrictions so that younger ones don't go astray with it
