Initial deposit for opening a wallet

Brave wallet asks users to make an initial deposit for wallet creation. Do all wallets require some deposit for wallet creation, or only specific wallets require an initial deposit?

Are users supposed to fund the wallet for the initial deposit externally? If so, it doesn't make any sense and I rate them low for that.

Basically, all crypto wallets don't require an initial deposit, but because you'll receive BAT tokens, Solana Gas is required, which requires Sol coin ownership. Not only for Brave wallets, but also for Phantom, Uphold, Gemini, and others.

Can you share how much solana gas is required for opening the wallet? If I open an exchange account for BAT tokens will I also have to pay gas fees?

I don't know which wallet you are using but Solana doesn't require any deposit or gas fee to open on Trust Wallet.

I chose Solana as the network for the BAT token I would receive, and I happen to already have an active Solana balance (not currently staked). Each transaction requires less than 0.00001 SOL, or approximately 0.00014 USD.

I haven't tried Brave wallet even though I have a Brave browser but I am not sure if they ask deposit before you can create wallet.
