However, Israeli officials, as per the Ynet website, are placing high hopes on the "Iron Beam" laser defense system. Rafael Advanced Defense Systems' “Iron Beam” is expected to dramatically improve and reduce the cost of intercepting projectiles launched at Israel.
The report said Rafael has made progress in innovative development programs and will soon unveil its new Lite Beam system at a US defense exhibition. Israeli security officials are hopeful that Rafael's "Iron Beam" laser defense system will be operational in the coming months.
