A little boy's skeletal remains were found near Donabate, County Dublin, after he was reported missing and assumed dead. Gardaí (Irish police) believe the bones belong to Daniel Aruebose, a seven-year-old who has been missing for several years. He is believed to have been gone for several years and would be seven. Tusla, Ireland's governmental agency responsible for child safety and protection, expressed concern about Daniel's location last month.

Your suggestion is senseful, the authorities need to do a forensic examination of the remains of the victim to know the cause of his demise and if it's the child lost in some years. Who knows, it's another child victim of of brutal killing.

You are right, it's possible it might be another child as well, anyways whoever the child is, i hope the parents are able to find some closure after this.
