Iron Age War Trumpet Found in England

There has been a major discovery in England near Norfolk where archaeologists have excavated and found a very old war trumpet that is almost two thousand years old. The object is called a Karnax and it was part of a large Iron Age treasure trove hidden in a field that was being used to build a house. A team of pre-construction archaeology experts went to work and found not only one but also fragments of another Karnax.

These animal-headed trumpets were used by Celtic tribes to inspire warriors in battle.
