Is affiliate marketing still a good way to make money?

It's very true because I have tried one myself and I was able to make one sale and keep the commission but because of lack of traffic I stop doing this business hopping to buy good traffic be that target teir one country before I start
 
Absolutely not in southern Europe and not among the South American realities I know. Cause our tax laws. Affiliate marketing, among the countries I know, carries on the opening of a compulsory VAT. In southern Europe, such a compulsory VAT costs 4000 euros of taxes, then another amount to pay to your local Board of Trade (around 89 euros, if I don't mistake) and then another amount between 500 and 3000 euros (more or less) of accountant fees (it's pretty impossible to run thousands of obligations if you don't rely on an expert accountant: if you make mistakes, you get severely fined). All these amounts may sum more than 7000 euros per year (out of the compulsory Social Security fees: I don't remember the amount to pay for this latter) and usually, the average South European only earns under than 1000 euros per years, relying on affiliate marketing. South America doesn't face such a so shameful tax law, but it's inconvenient in any way.
 
Well, I think it is still a good way to make money. However, it depends on many different factors. There are a couple of niches that are already saturated so make sure to do thorough research about niches. Also, you must be able to adapt to trends and create top-quality content.
 
There is a lot of hype regarding affiliate marketing. I make a small amount from affiliate marketing, it is difficult to find reliable affiliate programs which convert well and track conversions.
 
Until some years ago, the kind of small business I run in my new country was allowed to work with affiliate marketing. But unfortunately, new laws now forbid. It's exhausting as the preferred sport of our politicians is to change the policy dedicated to the smallest businesses at every turn. Now, affiliate marketing jobs became so cumbersome (better said: to comply with the tax laws concerning affiliate marketing became very cumbersome) that I quit the idea.
 
Affiliate marketing is still a good way to make money online. However, whether you can generate affiliate sales or not depends on multiple factors and the most important one is your skill to bring organic traffic.

Affiliated marketing is one of those ways which you can use to make alot of money but obviously you need to have a good website and traffic that can bring you good audience,I have done this business before and see alot of profit but it's not always easy at the start
