Is Google maps reliable?

Google maps helps to give people directions. So many places and landmarks in the world are listed with the directions on the Google maps apps.

From your experience, can you say that Google maps is very reliable in showing people the exact locations without mistakes.

I have used it on several occasions and it is very accurate except some locations where there is no landmark structure. In some rural areas, it don't give precise and detailed information.

I would say that Google maps is reliable up to 80%. You also have to be able to use your own inference when using Google maps.

Google Maps has mistakes as well. However, I have counted on it on many occasions, especially when traveling to other provinces that I have never visited before. Besides Google Maps, I also use Waze.

The only challenge that I have with Google maps is that it doesn't capture very remote locations but it is very good with accuracy in directions.

I do not use google maps at present. In some countries people have died because the Google maps they relied on were not very accurate especially during heavy rains.
