Sacking a employee could be legal. It will not happen if there is no basis. The cause or ground could be administrative. An employee will not be sacked without due process. Investigations will be done first by the the management and if found guilty the employee will be dismissed from work without incentives to bring home. One ground of firing an employee is stealing valuable tools and materials to outsiders for a long period of time. The employee could choose jailing or firing him.

Well, in Italy there were various referendums over the years to which people always responded: "NO to firing without right cause". But the Government that was in charge in the year 2016, without even proposing yet another referendum to the population, directly eliminated article 18 from the Italian Workers' Statute! This article said that every worker could only be fired if there is a really right cause, such as those you listed in your post. Nowadays in fact, an employee can be fired even without a valid reason! So the problem is that for everyone, there is the risk that every day of work could be the last! This (for their justification obviously) would be due to the fact that companies have had to face serious economic crises starting in 2008 and which have not yet been resolved. Therefore unfortunately, in thair opinion was needed more flexibility on hiring and resignation.

It's illegal to fire an employee without a genuine reason. If the employer does it without a strong reason to back the decision, the sacked employee can drag him to legal war. If proved wrong, the employer might end up paying a huge compensation for the mistake. That's why they have to be very careful and sack only when it's the last resort.

It’s is legal to sack employee. In every organization employees must stick to the roles and obligation of the organization in other for the organization to be effective and efficient.
Furthermore, when employee has been discipline and sometimes warn but still getting himself to same issues ,it’s possible and legal to sack him instead of bringing problems to the organization.

The company is also careful in decoding to fire an employee, but if the cause is administrative and there are profs to prove his action wrong, then, without prejudice, the said employee could any time exit from work.

What you say is a little far from the reality. Most of the jobs nowadays are without contracts. Then the employer doesn't respect any rules at work and could even exert violence on employees or fire them without valid reason just to not pay them money or duties. This is what happens in most countries. Some people could have legal papers or contracts like software engineers but this is not the case for the gardener who comes to the garden of the enterprise or the women who comes to clean the administration. What you say is just some words written in the laws but no one is applying them in real life.

Yea , sacking of employees is legal. If an employee misbehave or violet the rules and regulations of the company, he can be sack. But sometimes this could happen as the results of the employer selfish interest .

There are incidents that led to sacking of an employee even in my city but it was done secretly like in a school. There was a teacher very impulsive, she always got mad with her students and she did not know that one of her college students was an SBO governor and she was reported to the president of the private college. The attention of the teacher was called by the college president and when she reached the office of the president, she was told to leave the school premises as soon as possible after they talked. The teacher went home, she was instantly fired. In fact, we did not know . We only learned it from the students.

There always needs to be a reason before an employer sacks the employees. But in most cases when an employee is wrongly sacked, they can't take legal actions, especially here in my country.
