I recently went to a shop to buy something and I demanded for a seat to sit down. The attendant told me they don't have seats for customers. And it was true. The only available seat was the one the attendant used. How possible is it for a business to exist without seat for the customers!

Yes! It is possible. In one betting store, the owner intentionally refuse to put sit because some customers will sit down and be watching movies and football throughout the day without betting or do anything with their time. Either you bet or you leave the shop. That's business strategy
I think it is not nice for a business to refuse to provide seats for it's customers. I think it is very rude.
I. never see such business which exists without seats for customers infact that is the number one thing which any good business need people will come to your business place then how are you going to welcome the. Without a seat so you must provide one
Seats are not too expensive for a business to buy. Even if it is plastic seats, it is basic for a shop to have.
Yes they are businesses that often have limited seating areas as a large portion of their business comes from take-out or drive-thru customers

Some businesses thrive without chairs in their stores. They cater to customers who prefer takeout food. I have been to some here in the province where I live.
It is one thing that the seats are not enough for all the customers at a time. It is another that the business doesn't even have a single seat for customers. I don't fancy such business.
Well if it is business that you just have to buy and leave like the groceries stores. I don't think we need to be angry about that
In as much as I run a poultry farm, I make sure that I have two or three seats for customers. You never can know the disposition of a customer per time.
Yes I think business owners need to know this. you don't have to have too many seats but have one or two around can help

It's possible, not all businesses are actually ment for the customers to wait at the working environment.
Here, a lot of retail shops, big and small, do not provide seats to customers.
