For instance when one accidentally formats the flash drive, is there any chance to recover deleted files? A friend of mine didn't copy the files on PC before doing that.

An app called Disk Drill can help to recover deleted data from a flash drive. There are other apps like that too.

For me l have never heard about that app. However l would check for it and decide whether to its worthy.

I have not done it myself, but I have heard some tech experts say it's possible. There are even some apps you can use to do this.
There are several ways to recover deleted files on a flash drive without having to use software, connect the flash drive to a PC or laptop, find the exact folder where the files were stored before they were deleted, right click and select restore a previous version and press OK.
