Is it wrong to make prices of your products non negotiable?

I make my clothes for a particular class of people that understand the value and the prices I give is not open to negotiation. A casual customer came to the shop and tried to negotiate the price of a ready to wear gown. I told her the price is non negotiable.

She got angry, fumed and left the shop. Is it a bad thing to make prices for your products non negotiable?

I think that the business manager should know their target audiences and judge the purchasing behavior.

In supermarkets and malls, prices are non negotiable and people still buy without any complaints.

Negotiable goods happen only in public markets and small stores but in malls and big shops prices are fixed. In your case, you are the owner, you can give a small discount.

You have the right to how you want to run your business. You just have to continually politely tell those that wants to negotiate that you don't tolerate that.

My business is fixed but this coming Christmas I will have s Big Bang buy 1 take 1 just good for 1 day. Actually, could still profit.

As far as your consistent customers understand the essence of it, the rest that always want to negotiate can keep off. They mustn't buy from all shops.

You don't even have to be apologetic about it. Some things can't be negotiated. It would be only bad when such products don't make sales.
