Is low entrepreneurship drive one of the reasons for high unemployment in the country?

Unemployment is one of the social challenges we have now. And it is often blamed on a low level of entrepreneurial by the citizens of the country. Do you think that unemployment is so high because people are not setting up businesses much?

Yes for my country Nigeria I think so. A lot of people like me don't really have the skills to start and succeed with a business of their own.

If a quarter of the people that are unemployed have functional businesses that they can employ one or two persons, unemployment would have reduced drastically.

Those small businesses should expand to employ at least one additional staff. It is myopic to run a business only by yourself for years.

You are right, but then again you need to understand that nobody intentionally runs a business without thinking of expanding it. There are some that might not be able to expand for several reasons, then there are some that takes years before they are able to.

I think that low entrepreneurship drive depends on the economic status for a country. Like my country is not good economically and the business industry is down too
