Yes i believe it still pays, as most people simply prefer using humans ad ai isn't that perfect yet, in the future, things might be different though.

For me l do think that most online tasks that were being done by humans have been reverted to be done by the AI for sure. The tasks have really reduced in numbers and that is a blow for the freelancing fraternity

Some companies from own experience fire all web and full stack developpers and end contractor because they find a company that will develop and fix bugs with AI of their platforms lower than rate paid to employee and this is reason for contract work ending.
